Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital in Carbonear on Friday, July 30, 2010. Mr. James W. Mercer of Upper Island Cove in his 83 year. He is pre-deceased by his parents Arch and Edna, sisters Mary, Doris, Annie and bother Nathaniel, parents-in-law Herb and May Pynn. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Rose of 49 years, Daughters: Diane (Jack Cleary) River Head, Harbour Grace, Brenda (Danny Crane) River Head, Harbour Grace., Son Barry of Upper Island Cove. Six grandchildren, Barry, Brent, Steven, Adam, Vaniessa and Caitlyn. One great- granddaughter Brooke and a large circle of friends and relatives. The funeral service took place on Tuesday August 3, 2010 at St. Peters Anglican Church in Upper Island Cove, interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery Upper Island Cove.
