Date de décès : 2 août 2010
On Monday, August 2nd, Faith Belyea of Fredericton passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in England on July 19th, 1923, she was the daughter of Ida (Ayres) and Harry Sheldrick. A war bride, Faith arrived in Canada in 1946. She brought with her a sense of determination, love of family, and a delight in life. Always elegant, she carried herself as a lady in every situation. An important part of her journey has been her Christian faith, which has been reflected in her life, work and her great involvement in her church. She was deeply interested in people and treasured the friendships that she established during her participation in various groups. Faith made sure that her home was always there for her family and thankfully she was able to live there until the end of her life. In addition to her parents, Faith was predeceased by husbands Bill McKenna and Peter Belyea, grandson Peter Archibald, sister Joy Aplin, and brothers, Andrew and Roy Sheldrick. She will be sadly missed by her children, Michael McKenna (Patricia), Bruce McKenna (Mary Lee), Patricia (Belyea) McKenna (Michael), Anne (Belyea) MacMullin (Bill), Christine McKenna (Greg Archibald), David Belyea (Trudy); grandchildren Catherine McKenna (Bill Murphy), Sarah MacMullin, Christy (McKenna) Yeung (Nathan), Laura Archibald, Adam Belyea (Barbara), Robin McKenna, Jennifer MacMullin, Mark Archibald, Jessica Belyea, Andrew Archibald and David MacMullin. One of her greatest legacies is the knitting together of the two families into one.
Visiting hours will be held at Christ Church (Parish) Church, corner of Westmorland and Charlotte St, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, August 5th. Service to celebrate Faith's life will be held at Christ Church (Parish) Church at 2pm on Friday, August 6th, with Rev. Garth Maxwell officiating. Pall bearers are Adam Belyea, Robin McKenna, Mark Archibald, Andrew Archibald, David MacMullin, Bill Murphy, and Nathan Yeung. By family request donations may be made in Faith's memory to Holy Trinity Anglican Church Building Fund (Nasonworth), St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Building Fund (Nashwaaksis), Christ Church (Parish) Church Youth Ministry or to a charity of the donor's choice.
