The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, with family by his side, of Leroy "Hubba" Gallant of North Rustico, age 71.
Hubba was the beloved husband of Marie (nee Pineau); father of Carl (Karen) and Mary Lynn (Robbie) Gallant; and grandfather of Brandon and Cassie; and Jorden. He is also survived by his brother, St. Clair (Eileen); sisters, Lucy (Leonard) LeClair, Regina Doucette and Eleanor (William) Pineau; brothers-in-law, William (Eleanor), Gregory, Willis, Francis, Ricky (Cathy), Paul (Sharon) and David (Pauline); sister-in-law, Bonita (Carlie) Pineau; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Catherine Gallant; his brothers, Earl and Raymond; and his brother-in-law, Jackie Doucette.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Rd., New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
