It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Davis announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the age of 76 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Carl Davis (Anne-Marie Smith) of Halifax, NS, Brenda Skeard (Todd) of Corner Brook and Lisa Duffy (Brian) of Corner Brook; her grandchildren: Ryan & Christopher Davis, Shawn & Steven Skeard and Brandon & Lauren Duffy; her brothers: Frederick Davis of Carbonear, Clyde Davis (Yvonne) of Carbonear, Samuel Davis (Dorothy) of Stephenville and Everett Davis (Evelyn) of Stephenville; her sisters: Marjorie Boutcher of Carbonear, Florence Perry of Sturgeon, PEI, Carol Wilkinson (Robert) of Liverpool, NS, Glenys McNeil (Donald) of Bedford, NS as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband William Davis, brothers-in-law Wilson Boutcher and Leo Perry and sister-in-law, Emma Davis. She was an active member of Oakland United Church and took great pride with her pastoral care. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, August 5th, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, August 6th, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 7th at Oakland United Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kim Waite officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oakland United Church Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.
