The passing of Sharon Elaine Martin, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on August 5, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 8, 1951 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of Mona (Higgins) and the late Clarence Howells. Sharon was a Dietician at York Manor. She was affiliated with St. Anthony's and St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church's. She enjoyed needlepoint. In addition to her mother, Sharon is survived by her son, Jason; grandchildren, Megan, William, Alexander, Jeremy and Jarrett; sister, Geraldine (Gary) Kitt; brothers, Eric and Michael Howells; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 11 to 1 pm with the funeral service following at 1 pm with Father John Jennings officiating. Interment will take place in the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery at a later date. The family request no flowers be sent, for those who wish, remembrances made to the Lung Association or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
