Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, Walter J. Summers, age 84 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth Summers; six sisters and three brothers. Left with fond and loving memories his devoted wife and best friend of 60 years Sheila (nee Reardigan); loving children: Gary (Bonnie), Brian (Linda), Mike (Carolyn) and Elizabeth (Doug); grandchildren: Bradley and Megan, Leslie, Kristen, Heather (Stephen Hawkins) and Paul; great-grandson Daniel; sisters: Betty (Jim), St. John's and Josephine Struck, Cambridge, Ontario. Also leaving to mourn sisters-in-law Gertrude Reardigan and Rita Summers, and brothers-in-law Jack Reardigan and John Hart Sr. as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Many thanks to Dr. Goodridge and Dr. Martin as well as the nurses and staff of 5 South A at HSC. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Thursday and Friday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church. Cremation to follow.
