George Arthur Raynes husband to Robyn Raynes passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Saint John on January 6, 1956 and was the son of the late George Beck and Rena Raynes.
George was a mechanic by trade and had a great love for cars. He was an avid drawer and enjoyed spending time drawing.
Besides his wife Robyn, he is survived by his children, Georgina (Greg) Wilson, Willow Grove; Amanda (Andrew Langille) Raynes; Tony Raynes; George (Carol MacLean) Raynes; Robert (Tara Fairbrother) Raynes, all of Saint John; grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan, Daniel, Brayden and Marcus; sister, Susan Coates, Saint John; brothers, Russell (Christine) Raynes; Melvin McKnight (Lucy), both of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Bob Raynes.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place in the Loyalist Cemetery, Harding's Point.
