Weldon Edward Hawkes

Weldon Hawkes passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, August 5, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, son of the late Vance and Greta (Killam) Hawkes. Weldon was a long time employee for Monarch Construction. He will be sadly missed by his wife Alfretta (Butland) of 39 years, son, Chris (Pam) Hawkes of Moncton, daughter, Angela Bourque, two grandchildren; Eugene and Amber. Weldon is also survived by two brothers, Douglas (Juanita) Hawkes of Riverside Albert and Robert (Janet) Hawkes of Kitchner, ON as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Weldon was predeceased by three sisters; Marlene Mercure, Gladys Tower, Marjorie Spicer and one brother Delbert Hawkes. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 3:00 pm followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room.
