1955 - 2010 - Lana Irene Northrup of Boundary Creek, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, August 8th, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lana was born on May 12th, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Earl and Irene Horsman. Besides her parents, Lana was predeceased by her husband, Fred Northrup. She will be greatly missed by her caring and devoted brother Larry Horsman (Yolanda); Fred's children Wendy Northrup (Lorne Banks), Cindy Speiran (Loren) and Larry Northrup (Lesley); her grandchildren Keira, Georgia and Isabella Northrup and Calvin Speiran; loving niece Teri Soontiens and her family, Troy, Evah and Connor; special cousins Kathy O'Brien (Mike) and Frank Appleby (Muriel); devoted friends Judy Taylor (Tom) as well as many other family and friends. Lana worked with Fred at Toys for Big Boys for many years and played a large role in the company's success. Lana lived life to the fullest and enjoyed talking to everyone she met. She had an amazing way of making everyone feel special and took pleasure in taking care of everyone around her. Lana loved being surrounded by family and friends at the farm, camp or at home in Boundary Creek. She loved all animals, spending time outdoors and travelling. The family would like to thank Dr. Rubin, Dr. Quartey, Dr. Giberson, Dr. Pam Mansfield and all of the amazing nurses in palliative care who always went above and beyond in the care they gave to Lana.
Visitation will be held from Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 11th, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday,
August 12th, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Rick Thomas officiating, with burial to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Friends of the Moncton Hospital (Oncology or Palliative Care) would be appreciated by the family. Funeral
