George Lindsay Richardson passed away peacefully with family at his side on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the age of 80.
Survived by his loving wife, Patricia; daughter, Lynne (David) Schaaf, Lethbridge; sons, Tim (Cathy) Richardson, Okotoks, Bob (Peggy Nelson) Richardson, Comox, Allan (Laura) Pomeroy, Calgary, Glenn (Alison) Pomeroy, Calgary, Terry (Lhea) Pomeroy, Calgary; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Richardson, Brandon; sister, Irene Clare, Sydney, N.S.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sadly predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Helen and several of his siblings.
George retired at the age of 40 after serving 20 years with the RCMP and then at the age of 60 after 20 years with AGT (Telus).
A memorial service will be held at Mountainview Memorial Gardens, 17 Ave. S.E. at Garden Road, 1515 100 St., SE, Calgary, Friday, June 5, 2009, at 2 p.m.
