1926 - 2010 - Cocagne - At the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital regional Hospital, on Tuesday August 10, 2010, at the age of 84, died Noé P. Cormier, husband of Louise (Léger) for 50 years. Born in Cocagne on April 9, 1926, he was the son of the late Philippe E. and Christine (Bourgeois) Cormier. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Denis of Ottawa; a sister, Antoinette Babineau (Valmont) of Waltham, Mass. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Bertha Cormier of Bouctouche, Jeannita Cormier of Lancaster, Mass, Greta Soucy, Betty and Albéo Maillet all of Everett Wash; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Rita and three brothers, Paul, François and Edouard. Mr. Cormier was member 3rd degree of the Council Nicolas Denys of the Knights of Columbus of Cocagne and Mgr. Albénie LeBlanc 4th degree.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, August 12th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, August 13th from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. The funeral will take place on Friday, August 13th at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church at 3pm. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
