It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Frances Kaiser on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, Sydney.
Born in Fourchu, she was the daughter of the late Angus D. MacAskill and Lillian (Rafuse) Hiltz.
She was a member of Gospel Hall, Whitney Ave.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Bernice (Fred) Layton, Sydney; stepdaughter, Margaret (Robert) Harpel, Port Bickerton; stepson, Glenwood (Beverly) Kaiser, Short Lake, N.S.; three grandchildren, Susan Dunn, Sandra Layton and Rick Layton; seven great-grandchildren, Shaun Snow, Nicole Dunn, Steven Dunn, Morgan Wadden, Matthew Wadden, Chantelle Layton, Anjelika Layton, as well as great great-granddaughter, Taylor O'Rourke.
Besides her parents, and stepfather, Guy Hiltz, she was predeceased by her husband, Roland S. Kaiser; one daughter, Dolores; sister, Jane Holland and brother, John F. MacAskill.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. with Mr. David Swan officiating, in the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow.
