It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donald Bursey announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 12, 2010, in his 60th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife, Cathy (McWhirter); sons: Greg (Linda) and Steve; stepson, Randy Keough; his mother, Joyce Bursey; sisters: Meta Gillingham of Corner Brook, Annie Hicks (Terry) of Ottawa, Jean Glover (Wilson Vincent), Judy Joseph (Dave), and Sandra Avery (Keith Didham), all of Corner Brook; grandchildren: Braxton, Cameron, Cheyanne and Jacob. He is predeceased by his father, Wilfred John (1996); brothers-in-law: George Gillingham (1991), Fred Glover (2003), and daughter-in-law, Tammy (2007). Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 167 Country Road, at a later date with Rev. Kim Waite officiating. Interment to take place at a Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
