The death of Mary Arlene Donovan of Saint John West occurred on August 13, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on September 24, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Mary G. (McDonald) Donovan. She spent her younger years in Welsford which she loved and enjoyed. Arlene completed a cosmetology course at the Welland Academy in Boston and worked there for 7 years. She returned to Saint John to open Arlene's House of Beauty. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, special Aunt Margaret and Uncle Robert Keegan.
By her request there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from St. Rose of Lima Church at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Grand Bay - Westfield.
