It is with great sadness that the family of the late Richard (Dick) Delaney announces his sudden but peaceful passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on May 28, 2009 at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his special friend and companion, Shirley MacInnis; children: Betty (Wayne Frampton), Brenda (Larry Reid), Tom (Michelle), Rick (Pamma), Dennis (Valerie), Terry (Sharon), Patricia (Steve Kenney), David (Debbie), Rob (Marci); 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Mark, WillJoe; sister-in-law, Dorothy Delaney and brothers-in-law: Ben Hogan and Tom Doyle, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Richard (Dick) was also a life member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He is predeceased by his wife, Alice; brothers: Jim and Pat; sisters: Min (Ben Hogan) and Hannie (Tom Doyle). Visitation will take place on Friday, May 29, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mount Bernard Avenue, with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gracefully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
