Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex surrounded by her loving family and special friends on Thursday, May 28th, 2009, just days before her 93rd birthday. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jack and her brothers George and Bert. Leaving to mourn her two daughters Eileen (Tom) Manuel, St. John’s, Marion (Gord) Harris, North River; and two sons Russell (Lynn), Markdale, Ont., Keith (Cindy), Ladner, B.C.; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her extended family, the Welshes, the Dawes and the Gillams. Visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, May 29th, 2009, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at St. James United Church, St. John’s on Saturday, May 30th, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Bethany United Cemetery, Catalina on Monday, June 1st, 2009 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daffodil place, or to a charity of your choice.
