Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, May 27th, 2009 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a short courageous struggle with cancer, Mary Bridget Whelan at age 50. Left with precious and loving memories are her spouse Mike Roche and her daughters: Maurita, Sharla and Kristina Nurse; sisters Geri (Joe) Devereaux, Iris (Patrick) Dalton, Glenda (John) Cabot; brother Aiden (Audrey); the Roche family, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents John A. and Molly Whelan, her sister Georgina Williams, her brother Gordon and niece Alexandra. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl on Thursday May 28th and Friday, May 29th from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Church in Colliers on Monday, June 1st at 11 a.m. with interment to follow.
