Earl Stanley Morrison, a retired UNB Science Education Professor, born December 13, 1921 in Halifax, NS, met his eternal Father on August 18, 2010 after a long battle with WM Lymphoma. It was Earl's desire to leave his remains to Dalhousie Medical School to the furtherance of medical science. Earl knew that it was "more blessed to give than to receive". He gave freely of his time and musical talents - as a Stephen Minister, choir director, organist, author, scholar, Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa! His gentleness and kindness are "never-to-be-forgotten" traits. We know that he is in a better place with his heavenly Father and relatives who have gone on before. Earl was predeceased by his parents, father, John Morrison of Woodstock, NB and mother, Ruby Archibald of Wolfville, NS; also brother, Jack (Evelyn) Morrison of Virginia, USA. Of his immediate family, he leaves to mourn his wife, Millie of 61 years; his sister, Mary (Rev. Neil) Price of Wolfville, NS; three children, Dr. Ruth (Carl Forsberg) Morrison, Stuart (Patti) Morrison and Dr. Bill (Louise) Morrison all of Fredericton; eight grandchildren, Joy, Jenny, Peter, Chris, Jason, John, Sarah and Rebekah; three step grandchildren, Lars, Christina and Stephen; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton NB on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Earl MacDonald officiating.
