December 30, 1930 - May 23, 2009. Passed peacefully away at Sunrise Senior Living Centre, Fresno, California, Olive Gorrell (King) formerly of St. John's, NL. She was predeceased by her husband Glen in 2001, her parents Emma Alice (Morgan) and Absalom King; brothers: Alfred and Joseph Wylie King; Alfred, William and Thomas Allen, and sister Marjorie Lockhart. She leaves to mourn in California her loving daughters: Sharon Gorrell and Shirley (Jim) Redman and precious grandchildren: Paula (Sebastien) Kupiec; Angela (Neil) Robertson and Michael (Ashley) Redman. She was a special Nana to: Nicolas, Dominic and Audrey Kupiec; Cole, Lena and Britteny Robertson, as well as Zackary and Maegen Redman. Also leaving to mourn her sister Sadie Barfett, Eastport, NL; brothers: Ralph King (Marilyn deceased) (BC) and Max (Vivian) King (ON); sisters-in-law: Kathleen Allen, Mount Pearl, and Margaret King, St. John's, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews and friends throughout Canada, the United States and England. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of ones choice would be appreciated. A Memorial Service will be held in Fresno, California on June 13, 2009. Olive will be laid to rest with her husband Glen in Newfoundland in August 2009.
