Owen Davis
The family of the late Owen Davis of Meadows, (February 26, 1927 to August 11, 2010) would like to express our sincere gratitude to our extended family and friends for all your acts of kindness and support during this very difficult time. It has not gone unnoticed and is very much appreciated.
We would also like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Care Unit of WMRH, Dr. Dean, Eileen Coombs and their team. They went above the call of duty to help our father through the final stage of his life. The nurses in the unit are very unique, special people who were not only there for our father but for the whole family as well.
Thank you to everyone who made donations to the Palliative Care Unit. For those of you who sent flowers, made food, or came out to support us, a tremendous thank you. It's the kindness and support from all of you that makes this, the most difficult time in our lives, a little easier to deal with.
Individually, we would like to thank sons-in-law Spencer Payne and Stanley Ruth, grandsons Robert Davis and Geoffrey Davis, nephew John Davis Jr., and friend Eric Head for the role of pallbearers. Thank you to granddaughters Heather Davis, Kayla Wells and Meagan Payne for doing the readings at the service, as well as daughter Lisa Payne for doing our Father's Tribute. It was also an honor to have Aubrey and Mabel Ellsworth, cousins and lifelong friends of our parents to take part in the service in a very special way.
Thank you to Rev. Malcolm Palmer, the choir and the Meadows Fire Dept. for attending the service in full uniform out of respect for our father who was the first Fire Chief in Meadows. Finally, we would like to thank Fillatre's Funeral Home and their staff for their services and compassion.
Thank You,
The Davis Family.
