The death occurred at her home on Friday, May 29, 2009, of “Theresa’’ Mary Rayner (nee Brennan ) of Summerside , age 79 years. Theresa was born on January 26, 1930, in Sea Cow Pond, P.E.I., to her late parents, Wilfred and Mary (nee Perry) Brennan. Beloved wife of the late Merrill Rayner. Loving mother of Debbie (Eldon) Murphy and Cindy (Frank) McCardle, all of Middleton. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jennifer (Jeff), Nicholas (Sarah), Matthew ( Rachel ), Mitchell (Patty), Nolan, Alex, Ellen, Charles and Erika, her great-grandchildren Kyle, Oliver and Mackenzie and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers, Edgar (Eleanor) Brennan of Tignish and Donnie (Wanda) Brennan of Ontario, her sister Stella (Cecil) Stewart of Cardigan, her brother-in-law Percy Rayner of Summerside and her sisters-in-law Rosemarie Brennan of Tignish, Vina Brennan of Oromocto, N.B.; Evelyn Brennan of Boston, Mass.; Winnie Getson of Greenmount and Thelma Hess of Ontario. Besides her parents and husband, Theresa was predeceased by her brothers, Walter, Earl and Stephen Brennan. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Wednesday, June 3, 2009, then to Central St. Christian Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Theresa’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be greatly accepted.
