Mrs. Dorothy Kemp (nee Cooper), age 86, of Moose Jaw, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009 with her family by her side. Dorothy was born in the Keeler district. She married Lawrence Kemp in 1947 and they farmed and raised their family in Keeler. They later retired to Moose Jaw. Dorothy was active in many community groups including the UCW and the “Grandmothers Clubâ€. She enjoyed playing ball, square dancing, and in later years, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by son, Dr. Ray Kemp (Georgia), and daughters Janet Kawa and Joyce Kemp; five grandchildren, Steven and Cameron (Tobi) Kemp, Andrea (Rob) Lamont, Erin (Tyler) Delwisch, and Graeme Kawa; five great-grandchildren, Derek, Kennedy and Carson Delwisch, Carter and Blake Lamont; sister Betty Murray, twin brother Donald and brother Bud (Frances); numerous nieces and nephews; and will be especially missed by her puppy Daisy. She is predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence in 1988; sister Peggy (Neil) Forsyth, and brothers Clarence, Sidney (Dorothy), Roy, and George (Gren). The Funeral Service will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 1:30 pm. Reverend David Moore will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Memorials to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St.E., Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3, would be appreciated. In living memory of Dorothy, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
