1940 - 2010 - John Pitre, 69 of Moncton, son of the late Adolphe and Agatha Pitre, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, August 24th, 2010 at The Moncton Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gloria (Saulnier); one son, Michael (Terry); one daughter, Patricia Gibb (Tom); three grandchildren, Christina, Ryan and Taylor. He is also survived by one brother; Regis, six sisters; Rose, Bernice, Leona, Sylvianne, Helen and Pauline. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one son, Dwain; four brothers; Herman, Hector, Maurice and Albert.
Following cremation, a funeral service will be held at St. Michael's Basilica in Miramichi on Friday, August 27 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow. Interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or New Brunswick Lung Association.
