1927 - 2010 - Andréa Gallant, 83 of Bouctouche, wife of the late Jean-Paul Gallant (2000), passed away on Wednesday August 25th, 2010 at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent. Born in Sainte-Anne de Kent on April 06, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Adelin and the late Marie-Anne (Babin) Boudreau. Andréa was a school teacher in Kent Co. for all of her working years, with the later years working with the mentally challenged kids. She will be sadly missed be her three children, Josette Gallant (Paul Williams) of Grand-Barachois, Marc (Marie-Claude Austin-Gallant) of Quispamsis, and Maurice of Bouctouche. She also leaves to mourn her two sisters, Rita Léger, Cécilia Collette (Ulric) both of Moncton, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Irène and Marie and four brothers, André, Henri, Laurie and Richard.
At the request of the family there will be no viewing at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church on Saturday August 28th, 2010 at 12 noon. Internment will be in the parish cemetery. A reception will follow at the Bouctouche Golden Age Club where the immediate family will receive family and friends. In Andrea's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
