At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, of Thomas James Garvey of 22 Rosewood Dr., Kensington, aged 93 years. Veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Canadian Air Force. Born in Winnipeg, Man., May 5, 1917, son of the late John Garvey of Kenora, Ont., and Mary Haughes of Killarney, Ireland. Husband of Kathleen (James Gibbs) Garvey. Father of Thomas Jr. (Linda) Garvey, Vancouver. Grandfather of Christopher. Brother of Noreen (Bob) Hopper, Winnipeg and Kathleen (Ted) Burdenie, Florida. Predeceased by brothers, John and Paul and sister Eileen. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington. No visitation or funeral by request.
