The death of Neil Stewart MacKellar IV, loving husband to Beatrice (Colwell) MacKellar occurred on Thursday August 26, 2010 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born March 6, 1945 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Neil and Emma (Goss) MacKellar. Neil worked for many years as a printer for the Saint John Regional Hospital. Neil was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed carpentry and playing cards. He had a great sense of humor and a world of patience. Besides his loving wife Beatrice of 43 years, he is survived by his sister Janet Collins of Grand Manan; sisters-in-law Janet Williston and Barb Colwell both of Saint John; brother-in-law Ronald Colwell also of Saint John; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). Following cremation, visitation will be held on Sunday August 29, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Woodman's Point Cemetery at a later date.
