Edmund C. Peddle devoted husband for 63 years to Frances (Lordon) Peddle of Saint John passed away at Rocmaura Nursing Home on August 30, 2010. Born at Bishops Cove, NL he was the son of the late George and Olive (Follett) Peddle. Edmund retired from the Saint John Ship Building Ltd. after 30 years of service. Besides his loving wife Frances, Edmund is survived by four sons Harold (Martha), Donald (Mary), Stephen (Beth) and Mark (Heidi); two daughters Carol Anne Dickie (John) and Jean Sullivan (Sean) all of Saint John; two brothers Harold and Edward (Phyllis) of Bishops Cove, NL; one sister Louise Bishop (George Allan) of Port-de-Grave, NL; thirteen grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held, interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
