LEWIS, Rita (nee O’Driscoll)–Passed peacefully away on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by her loving family, Rita Lewis, aged 87 years of Conception Harbour. Predeceased by her husband Patrick; sons: Gerard and Michael; parents: John and Ellen O’Driscoll; brothers: John Stephen, James and Richard; sisters: Elizabeth, Bridget, Ellen and Catherine. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughter Genevieve (Bill) Smith; sons: Pat (Doreen), Edward (Donna), Stephen (Marion), Bob (Bev); twelve grandchildren: Debbie, Rick, Lorraine, Brenda, Michael, Jason, Patti Ann, Coralie, Darrell, Christopher, Stephanie, Andrew and five great-grandchildren: Brittany, Bettina, Evan, Erica and Emily. Also leaving to mourn is her brother Cornelius O’Driscoll and sister-in-law Bride Lewis; numerous nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Conway’s Funeral Home, Conception Harbour. Visitation on Tuesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at St. Anne’s Church, Conception Harbour. Interment at the Family Plot, Conception Harbour. Special thank you to all doctors, nurses and staff of the 7th floor, Carbonear General Hospital for making Mom comfortable in her last days.
