1923-2010 - Following a brief illness, Monica Jay of Anfield passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Grand Falls General Hospital. Born in Les Etrois, Quebec on July 9, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Hector and Yvonne (Picard) Hudon. Monica leaves behind her daughter Cynthia Mulherin (Daniel) of Banff, AB; her son Kevin Jay (Marie) of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; sister Georgette Doucette of Riverview; brother Raymond Hudon (France) of Ville Degelis, Quebec; grandchildren Bruce, Brad, Rosalind, and Hilary.
Resting at Tobique Chapel with visitation on Monday 1 to 3 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 6, 2010 at 3 pm from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Plaster Rock. Father Curtis Sappier officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
