John (Jack) Hamilton

After a courageous struggle, Jack Hamilton of Fredericton passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 31, 2010 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital at the age of 83. Born on Lake Road, Harvey Station, NB on May 9, 1927 to the late Stanley and Helen (Bell) Hamilton. Jack worked as a car salesman for J. Clark & Sons for many years. During that time he achieved GM Sales Master Awards from 1972 to 1976, as well as Grand Sales Master status from 1972 to 1974. He was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane. Jack loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, especially time spent snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle or ATV. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years Ethel (Grieve); sons J. Clark Hamilton (Colleen), R. Kent Hamilton (Terri Robinson) ; grandchildren Laura E. Hamilton (Jarred Dooley), Sarah L. Hamilton, Bradley Robinson; sister Myrna Dawn Clark (Rev. George); several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Roland and Murray Hamilton.
Following cremation, a funeral service will be held from the First Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane on Tuesday September 7, 2010 at 7 PM with Pastor Peter Beckwith officiating assisted by Rev. George Clark. Interment at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or any charity of the donor's choice.
