Michael George ThaDin, age 54 of Truro passed away May 21, 2009 in Montreal, where he has resided for the last 29 years.

Born May 14, 1955 in Burma, Michael moved to Truro with his family at a young age, where he attended local schools and graduating from Cobequid Educational Centre, class of 74. Michael also graduated from Computer Programming at Annapolis Valley Campus in 1980. He then moved to Montreal where he worked for IATA, until the time of his death.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Dr George ThaDin and Dr Joan ThaDin, and an older brother John.

He is survived by his sister Patricia (Lloyd) Gesner, Niece Elizabeth, and his lifelong friends Joan Lane, Gordon and Sheila Lane, their children and their families.

As a young man Michael enjoyed spending time at his family cottage at Shortts Lake, where he will be remembered both as an avid sailor and a host to his many summer parties for his friends.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday June 5 at 2pm in the St Johns Anglican Church Rev Lori Ramsay officiating. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
