ROSE, William A.– Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, October 5, 2008, William A. Rose, aged 82 years, following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Predeceased by parents Leo and Bridget; sister Loretta Conway (Ben). Left with fond and loving memories his wife Elva (nee Milley); four sons Greg (Sandi), Scott (Wanda), Ken (Lisa) and Glen (Sandra); four grandchildren Jennifer, Michael, Gavin and Lucas; two brothers Paul (Laura, deceased) and Aloysius (Mary); and many other relatives and friends. A special thank you to caregiver Jocelyn Kelland for her loving care and support. Visitation to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon, 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A committal service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinson Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
