MacAdams, Philip Kenneth "Peanut" - 62, of Grand Pré, Kings County, passed away peacefully with his son by his side, Friday, August 27, 2010 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of Arthur Kelly, Grand Pré and the late Elizabeth (Rogers) Kelly. He was an avid hockey player and enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to Tim Horton's. He is survived by a son, Michael MacAdams (Sarah Janes), Lockhartville; his father's partner, Joyce Boylan, Grand Pré; his wife, Donna MacAdams, Medford; two uncles, Tom (Delma) Rogers, Halifax and John (Ena) Rogers, Wolfville; several close cousins and extended family members. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial took place in the Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Oncology Unit of the VG Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
