Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family and friends at the Dr. L.A. Miller Center on September 2, 2010. Predeceased by her father John T. Johnson; brother John Johnson; mother-in-law & father-in-law Violet & William CR Sellars. Leaving to mourn her husband Barry; two sons Jason and Tyler; mother Bridget Johnson; sisters Mary Sooley, Regina Fardy (Mark), Bernice Johnson (Dave), Patricia Badcock (Walter), Stella Johnson, Bernadette Bursey (Fred); brothers Dominic Johnson (Phyllis), Aidan Johnson (Beverley), Philip Johnson (Donna); sisters-in-law Sandra Simmons (John), Carol Crummey (Boivan); brothers-in-law Randy Sellars, Blair Sellars (Leona); special nieces and nephews that loved her dearly, and also her great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts Joyce Jerrett (Danny), Pearl Clark and Elizabeth Howell; special friends and colleagues that will miss her unique humor and personality. Special thanks to the staff at "4 North A" Health Science Centre, the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Center, and to all her colleagues that showed such generosity and support during this time. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl, on Saturday and Sunday, September 4th & 5th from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 6th at Mary Queen of the World Parish. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
