Pauline Blanchard
The death of Pauline Blanchard, 74, of Braeside Drive, Moncton, occurred following a lengthy illness on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton on September 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Arsène and Dorilla (LeBlanc) Melanson. She was a retired nurse from the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Regional Hospital. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by two sons: Marc (Tammy Sisk) of Moncton and Jean (Michelle) of Saint John; one daughter: Sylvie of Moncton; four grandchildren: Alexandre Blanchard, Justin Blanchard, Samuel Blanchard and Danika Bourque, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Rhéal Blanchard in 2003.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday, September 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. until departure (10:45 a.m.) for Notre Dame de la Paix R.C. Church, Murphy Avenue, Moncton, from where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at the Centre Père Patrice LeBlanc.
In memory of Pauline, donations to the Dr. Léon Richard Oncology Centre at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
