GILBERT, BRADFORD A. – 70, of Oakwood, Ont., and formerly of Lakelands, Cumberland Co. passed away suddenly on Monday, May 18, 2009 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Lakelands, he was a son of Ethel (Gilbert) Gilbert, Lakelands and the late J. Maxwell Gilbert. He is survived by his wife, the former Norma Jean White; daughters, Donna Gardiner (Darren), Lindsay, Ont.; Crystal Long (Andy), Woodville, Ont.; Paula Nevers (Mike Kinnear), Coldwater, Ont.; sons, James Maxwell, Oakwood, Ont.; Brent, Lindsay, Ont.; sisters, Audrey Heward (Lorne), North Bay, Ont.; Carolyn O’Hearn (Fred), Five Islands; Diane Gilbert, Toronto; Barbara Gilbert, Parrsboro; Bernice Fulton (Earl), Parrsboro; Jo Anne Gilbert, Kamloops, B.C.; Cheryl Johnson (Mike), Lakelands; a brother, Ronald (Louise), Lakelands; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m. today [Thursday, May 21, 2009] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro where funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., Rev. Greg Doyle officiating.
