Peacefully in his sleep after a short but courageous battle with cancer passed away Tuesday May 26, 2009 at the Brampton Civic Hospital. Loving husband to Ann (nee Scott) for 39 years. Doting father of Jeffery of Iqaluit, Nunavut, and Reginald (Maria) . Sadly missed by his two grandsons Zachary, and Jacob.Son of the late Reginald E. Gibson & Survived by his mother Helen Gibson {Teed} and his siblings Barb, Chuck, Debbie, Darlene, Glendon, Jack and Ken. Family and friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel" 289 Main St. N. On Thursday May 28, 2009 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p..m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Friday May 29, 2009 at 12 noon. Cremation to follow. Gerry will be forever remembered for his infectious smile, and his devoted 35 year career with the Ontario Provincial Police. During his retirement Gerry travelled and enjoyed the outdoorsmans life, boating and fishing.Memorial Donations can be made to the cancer society or a charity of your choice.
