1914 - 2010 - Emerise Allain, 96 of Saint-Edouard de Kent, wife of the late Aquila Allain (1992), passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Monday, September 13th, 2010. Born in Saint-Edouard de Kent on August 7th, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Sylvain and the late Osithe (Maillet) Allain. Emerise was 1st and foremost a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. She was a homemaker and also worked as a janitor at the Donat-Maillet Elementry School for more than 10 years. She was also a member of the Sainte-Anne de Kent Golden Age Club. Emerise will be sadly missed by her four children, Cécile Allain of Moncton, Vincent of Saint-Edouard de Kent, Benoit (Odila) of Cocagne, and Sylvio of Bouctouche; her five grandchildren, Micheline, Chantal, Joël, Stefan, and Shelly. Her six great grandchildren, Mélissa, Alex, Rebecca, Karly, Danicka, Daphanie. She also leaves to mourn her five sisters, Geneviève Latreille of New York, Sophie Allain of Sainte-Anne de Kent, Hélène Richard of Gardner, Mass., Marie Richard (Benoit) of Moncton, and Noëlla Saulnier of Dieppe. She was predeceased by one son Benoit, five sisters, Emilienne, Octavie, Pauline, Anna, and Thérèse and two brothers, Auguste and Michel.
Visitation will be held at Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Wednesday, September 15th, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Church on Thursday, September 16th, 2010 at 4:00 pm Interment will be it the parish cemetery. In Emerise's memory, donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation, Oncology department.
