MIRAMICHI, NB - With hearts full of sadness and treasured memories of a life well lived, we regret to announce the passing of Janie Marie (Oliver) White on Thursday, September 14th, 2010 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, Miramichi, NB.
Born on April 10th, 1937 in New Glasgow, NS, Janie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph A. White; a son, Joe G. (Monica); grandchildren: Amy, Joe A. and Abby of Fort McMurray, AB; and a daughter, Laurie (Kevin) Carr; grandchildren: Marley and Jackie of Miramichi, NB; Melanie (Adam) Keenan and great-grandchildren Tyler and Griffen of White Rapids, NB - all of whom she greatly adored!
Also surviving are her sisters, Mary Schust, Stellarton, NS; Faith Peckham, Scarborough, ON; and her brothers, Jack (Vivian) Oliver, Stellarton and Percy (Florence) Oliver, Westville.
She was predeceased by her parents, Winnifred MacNeil and Henry Oliver; her sisters, Marjorie Rivers and Edith Coady and brother, Robert Oliver.
The family will receive visitors at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Acadia Avenue, Stellarton, NS, from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, September 18th from where the funeral will take place at 4 p.m. Burial will follow at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
