Age 107 years of Peabody, formerly of Dartmouth Street, Lynn, Massachusetts died peacefully Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Lester W. Little with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Born on December 1, 1901, in P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late John J. and Lydia (Rose) Robertson. Educated in P.E.I., she moved to Lynn in 1921 and has resided in Lynn, until moving to Peabody six years ago. She was a volunteer at Union Hospital for many years. She was a member of the former Lynnfield St. Baptist Church, the former Trinity Baptist Church in Lynnfield, and a member of the Ivy Rebecca Lodge. Mrs. Little is survived by one son, Richard D. and his wife, Jean R. Little of Walpole; two daughters, Phyllis L. Reed of Mountain View, CA; Lois A. Simes of North Reading; one daughter-in-law, Elaine C. Little of Ft. Myers, FL; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late A. Gordon Little; mother-in-law of the late William H. Reed, John B. Simes; and grandmother of the late Bonnie Gay Simes. Mrs. Little\'s funeral will be held at the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St., Lynn, on Monday at 11 a.m., to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
