MACKAY - Leroy Harrison- 84 of Pictou and formerly Oakville Ont passed away peacefully at Glen Haven Manor New Glasgow after a lengthy illness. Leroy was born in New Glasgow and moved to Pictou where he graduated from Pictou Academy and worked for the Bank of NS before moving to Ontario. He worked for Maris Transport as a Parts Manager for many years before retiring, after which he spent his time enjoying gardening and woodworking before moving home to Pictou. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Elizabeth (Fraser) MacKay, a brother Chester and a long time friend Lloyd MacKenzie. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be held for family and friends at Bethel Cemetery, Scotsburn on Monday September 20 at 11 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Service, Pictou.
