Congdon, Audrey Anita 85, of Great Village passed away September 19, 2010 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care Truro. Born in Pense, Saskatchewan, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Florence (Jackson) Gordon. Audrey was a member of Saint James United Church, Great Village, member of the UCW and a member of the choir for 60 years. She was a member of the Great Village Fire Brigade Ladies Auxiliary, and the Great Village Garden Club.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Kenneth; children Gregory (Karen) of Aulac NB, Douglas (Judy) Great Village, Keith (Margaret) Great Village, Dianne Forshner (Gordon) Enfield; grandchildren Ainsley, Erin, Holly, Megan, Devon, Christopher, Danica, Caitlin, Tyler, Michael, Ciara; great-granddaughters Danica and Brianna; sister Mrs. Jean Schaschl, Enfield.
She was predeceased by a son Alan; brother Vayle; sister Sheila.
Visitation will take place this evening from 7-9 in the Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, Truro. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2 pm in Saint James United Church, Great Village. Rev. Florence Antle-Brison will officiate with burial to follow in the Mahon Cemetery, Great Village. A reception will follow in the church hall. Family flowers only.
