It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sophie May Locke (Gammie), announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on September 22nd 2010 at the age of 95 years. She will be forever missed by sons: Donald (Bride) of Corner Brook, James (Florence) of Corner Brook, Gene (Ruby) of Corner Brook, Gary (Cindy) of Halifax, William (Marcella) of Bonne Bay Pond; grandchildren: Sharon, Lisa, Cindy, Lana, David, Vikki, Sean, Corey, Dean, Patti-Lynn, Kimberly, Kerri-Leigh and Krista; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother; William (Victoria) of Halifax; special friends: Marilyn and Bruce Piercey. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband, Wallace (1990); daughter, Beverley; brothers: Malcolm and Chesley; sisters: Irene and Sadie and daughter-in-law, Nellie Taylor. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday September 23rd 2010 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm, Friday September 24th 2010 from 10am-12pm. Service will be held at Oakland United Church at 2pm with Rev. Clayton Parsons officiating with interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted, donations can be made to the Oakland United Church where Sophie was a lifetime member, or to a charity of one's choice.
