The passing of Dorothy Irene Forbes of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, wife of James Forbes occurred on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 8, 1926 in Holtville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ivy (Carson) Ross. She was a member of Taymouth United Church. Dorothy was a past member of the Nashwaak Curling Club. Her focus was always on her loving husband, children, and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, James, Dorothy is survived by her son, Brian (Paula) Forbes of McLeod Hill, NB; daughter, Joanne Forbes (Michael Chamberlain) of Taymouth, NB; son, Ross (Lana) Forbes of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Erin Forbes of Toronto, ON, Andrew (Michelle) Chamberlain of Fredericton, NB, Adam Chamberlain of Fredericton, NB, Sarah Chamberlain of Taymouth, NB and Lindsay Forbes of Fredericton, NB; one great granddaughter, Ava Chamberlain; sister, Georgena (Tony) Boucher of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Matthew Forbes; sisters, Stella Scott, Merle Reid and Flora Rich; brothers, John, Arthur and Clarence Ross.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Alzheimer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
