It is with great sadness that the family of the late Amelia Elford announce her passing on Saturday, June 6th, 2009, at the Bonne Bay Health Center in Norris Point at the age of 87. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Brenda Elford (Nelson Snow), Rocky Harbour and George Elford (Geralyn), Fort McMurray; grandchildren: Dana Pittman (Nell Brophy), Neil Pittman (Candis), Justin Elford (Kelly), Joshua Elford (Charle Kelly), Jordan Elford and Jaleesa Elford; two great-grandchildren: Abby Pittman and Gemma Elford. Leaving to mourn with other family members are brother, Earl Belbin and special nieces: Phyllis Suttis and Doreen Loveys. Also being remembered by loving caregivers and treasured friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Elford in 1997. Visitation will be held at Warren’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Tuesday, June 9th, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. from Fortune United Church, with Rev. Graham Cooke officiating. Internment to follow at the United Cemetery in Fortune.
