Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, September 20th , 2010, Mr. Albert James Douglas, age 84 years of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Theresa; two daughters, Susan (Anthony) and Mary (Newman) at Harbour Breton; four sons, Albert (Ellen) at Paradise, Lloyd (Karen) at Harbour Breton, Gordon (Annie) at St. John's, and Frederick (Viola) at Harbour Breton; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Sheila Bungay (James) at Harbour Breton; daughter in law, Karen Douglas, plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, George and Annie Douglas (nee Willcott); son, David; son in law, Melvin Walsh; five sisters, Elsie, Gertrude, Susie, Bessie and Frances. Funeral service was held on Friday, September 24th , 2010, at 11:00 am from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Harbour Breton with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery at Harbour Breton.
