1938-2010
Laurent Fougère passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, September 23, 2010.
Born in Shédiac on June 16th, 1938, he was the son of the late Amédée and Annie (LeBlanc) Fougère.
Laurent was a school teacher for over 35 years. He had a passion for creating home movies of family and friends, enjoyed listening to music, travelling, and adored his dog, Nicky.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rachelle (Doiron) Fougère, of Dieppe; daughters, Lise Fougère (Norm Gallant), of Dieppe, and Sylvie (Tyler) Godfrey, of Moncton; three brothers, Walter (Loretta), Robert (Eugénie), of Shédiac, and Réné (Jody), of Moncton; six sisters, Edna (late Gerry) Vautour, of Surrey, BC, Léonie (late Ovila) Boucher, of Moncton, Clarice (Zacharie) LeBlanc, of Shédiac, Annie Fougère (Hélène), of Cap-Pelé , Camilla (Billy) Richard, Suzanne (Guy) LeBlanc; a sister-in-law, Doris Fougère (late Léo), all of Shédiac; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Léo.
Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 28, from 9:30 to 11:30 am, immediately followed by a memorial service in the Funeral Home's Chapel, Father Paul Breau officiating. A reception to follow in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
