1918 - 2010 - Tilmon Bastarache, 92 of Bouctouche, husband of the late Marie (Bastarache) Bastarache (2002), passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday September 25th, 2010 at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Saint-Maurice de Kent on July 28th, 1918, he was the son of the late Willie and the late Emilienne (Savoie) Bastarache. Tilmon was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus with the Bouctouche Assembly, and a member of the Bouctouche Golden Age Club. He will be sadly missed by his six children, Elmo (Andréa), Rose-Mai Guimond (Vernon), Achille (Anne-Marie), all of Bouctouche, Fernande Henri (Roger) of Gardner, Mass., Jacqueline Jaillet (Raymond) of Saint-Edouard de Kent, and Linda Allain (Danny) of Moncton, his twenty grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his two sisters, Yvonne LeBlanc (Joseph "Babe"), Corinne Bernard (Blair) both of Moncton and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one son Norman, one daughter Bernice, one grandson Timmy and four sisters, Léonie, Dora, Marie, and Elodie and three brothers, Francois, Ambroise and Philippe.
Visitation will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Monday September 27th, from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday September 28th, 2010 at 4:00 pm. Internment will be in the parish cemetery. In Tilmon's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation - Oncology department.
