BENDER – It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Walter (Wally) Bender announce his passing on May 31, 2009. He was 87 years young, and a beloved husband. He leaves behind his wife, Clara, of 62 years; his daughter, Barbara, her husband Jim and their daughters, Crystal, Cindy and Cherie (Dean Endicott); his son Jack; and predeceased by his daughter Jean, 2001; son-in-law, Henry Petkau, and grandsons, Corey Petkau and Trevor and wife Christine and their sons, Alexander and Christifer; his son Rick and wife Bernice and son, Mac. Wally, beloved husband, father and grandfather had a great sense of humor. He loved fishing, hockey and bird watching. Funeral services were held at the Eastside Church of God on June 5, 2009, at 2:00pm. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Eastside Church of God. Funeral arrangements were in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK.
