Ramona Mae Rector age 80 of Amherst passed away on Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan.
Born in Springhill, NS, she was a daughter of the late Renford and Elizabeth (White) Harrison.
Ramona enjoyed a good game of cards, playing on the computer and camping with her husband, friends and family.
She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband of 63 years, Charles (Tupper); sisters, Mary (Ernie) Fraser of Amherst, Doris (Richard) Beaton of Springhill and Beverly White of Ontario; grandchildren, Charles and Jason Chapman; great grandchildren, Shania, Katra, Acadya, Brady and Zackery as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ramona was predeceased by her daughter, Doris Linda Rushton; granddaughter, Carla; brother James and sister, Shirley Rushton.
In respect of Ramona's wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). There will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
Donations in Ramona's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Lodge That Gives or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
